Ngapa Jukurrpa Mikanji (meaning Water Dreaming)

The custodians of this Jukurrpa or Dreaming are men of the Jangala/Jampijinpa skin groups, and women of the Nangala/Nampijinpa skin groups. The Dreaming travelled from Puyurru to the Mikanji creek where two ngapiri (river red gums) growing nearby represent the spirits of two blind women singing with tears in their eyes as they strained to see a huge storm that was unleashed by a rain ancestor.
