Mina Mina Jukurrpa Ngalyipi

Napangardi/Napanangka women and Japangardi/Japanangka men are the custodians of the Jukurrpa that created the area. This Jukurrpa or Dreaming story tells of the journey of a group of women who travelled far to the east gathering food, ngalyipi and performing ceremonies as they travelled. Ngalyipi is a sacred vine used as a ceremonial wrap, as a strap to carry parrajas (wooden bowls) and as a tourniquet for headaches.
